Cases for a Cause Mission Statement:

Cases for a Cause, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to helping Illinois foster children find and preserve dignity by providing suitcases as a place to store, organize and transport the few things they call their own during their stay in the Illinois foster care system.

Update!

As of January, 2010 we have purchased and delivered almost 3000 suitcases for Illinois foster children. In the latest shipment, we were able to provide 30 small suitcases (22") for the youngest of the foster children, 250 medium size suitcases (30") and 700 of our standard size (35") suitcases for the teenagers in the program.

One of the case workers assigned to the foster children recently told us: "The kids understand the concept of the suitcases immediately. Most of them remark that this is the first tangible thing that is exclusively theirs."
